Where Adventure Meets Comfort in Utah's Red Rock Paradise

May 2025

As we arrived at Under Canvas Moab for our two-night stay, I was almost instantly obsessed. This isn't your typical camping experience—it's luxury glamping that perfectly captures the spirit of Moab's incredible landscape while providing comfort after long days exploring Utah's red rock country.

The Setting

Nothing will ever compare to stepping out of your tent to front-door views of Arches National Park and the La Sal mountain range. The property itself is beautifully designed with many shady spots to relax, nap, or swing in a hammock while taking in those spectacular surroundings. During the day, the views are breathtaking, but as the sun casts its lowering glow on the nearby mesas, it feels like a little piece of heaven.

Accommodations

Our tent was spacious and beautifully decorated with luxury details throughout. The bedding was comfortable, and having a private bathroom was amazing—a real game-changer for glamping. The water pressure was adequate for getting cleaned up after dusty days in the parks, though not quite enough for my full curly hair routine (but honestly, who cares when you're surrounded by this beauty?).

The Family Suite comes with a separate kids' tent. Two twin beds, bean bags, and their own front porch.

Property Amenities & Activities

This particular Under Canvas location doesn't offer full-service meals, but the reception area was very welcoming with plenty of grab-and-go snacks, drinks, and great merchandise. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The kids enjoyed canvas painting while Tim and I relaxed with local brews and takeout pizza by the fireside with live music. They provided s'mores supplies complete with mystery chocolate that added a fun element to our evening. During the heat of the day, it's best to be out exploring Moab and the nearby national parks (Arches and Canyonlands), though they do have nice misters around the shaded seating areas.

Standout Experiences

We took advantage of the Friday morning yoga class, which was incredible. Early morning sun, fresh air, and mountains all around with Monika as an amazing instructor—we felt energized and ready for the day ahead.

The evening entertainment was perfect for families. After a day of cooling off in swimming holes and waterfalls around Moab, we enjoyed fireside music and chatted with fellow travelers. We ended our night stargazing with Devon, experiencing sights I had never witnessed before. It was stargazing taken to the next level.

Perfect Duration

Two nights was the ideal length for this experience. It gave us enough time to truly appreciate the property while serving as a comfortable base for exploring the area's incredible outdoor adventures.

Who Should Stay Here

Under Canvas Moab is perfect for families wanting to experience Moab's natural beauty without sacrificing comfort, couples seeking a unique romantic getaway, or anyone looking to combine outdoor adventure with luxury touches. It's an ideal base for exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks while enjoying elevated camping with stunning views and thoughtful amenities.

This property delivers exactly what luxury active travelers want—comfort and beauty after days filled with adventure, all while being immersed in one of America's most spectacular landscapes
